Performance Car Leasing

Performance Car Leasing

Did I hear you say performance car leasing?  By far one of our greatest all-time sellers must be a VW Golf R lease.  Every year we’d have enhanced favourable terms on the Golf R Hatch or Estate car; in fact, there was a time that the lease rates were that heavily subsidized we were almost giving them away.   The VW Golf has long been one of VW’s hottest sellers, pair that with the performance of the 7 speed 2.0 litre charged engine, boasting 316 bhp and you’ve a license to print money.  It’s little wonder that VW wanted to duplicate this success and put the same engine into the GTI, just without the mapping and of course not 4 Wheel Drive, keeping the 2 cars subtly different.  Another arm of the VAG group wanted to replicate this success introducing the Cupra Leon 300, sharing the exact same engine and performance as the Golf GTi Clubsport with 296 bhp.  Without the 4-WD technology the Cupra Leon and Golf GTI weigh a fair bit lighter than the Golf R, but which do you think would handle better?  I’ve always been a fan of 4-WD technology, it grips the road much better and would help in my neck of the woods; the North of England where there can be snow and lots of mud with plunging winter temperatures; making it a great road car.  Giving the grip on the road, the weight of the car; I’d imagine that the Golf GTi or Cupra Leon would be more thrilling around the track though.  When considering a hot hatchback on lease, I think it’s safe to assume that all 3 of these vehicles would be considered with the likely winner being based on the monthly rental, as other than the unique features of the badge and branding; they all do look similar from the exterior; more so with the 2 options from VW.  It must be said that the Cupra Leon does have the better looking interior.  For years customers have favoured the VW Golf particularly the performance GTD, GTI and R, but I predict that VW may see some of these customers shift across to another arm of the VAG group by opting for the a Cupra Leon lease, which is available at a lower RRP.

Personal Car Leasing

Performance cars often attract great personal car leasing rates, this is due to the fact that the vehicles tend to hold onto their resale value vehicle well.  With the massive dealer discount and funder bonus significantly lowering the initial on the road, this makes a performance car far more affordable to lease than buy.

Performance Prestige Lease

Climbing further up into the prestige arena and we have some fine performance cars available with the Audi S3 lease, BMW M135 lease and Mercedes A35 leasing or perhaps you'd like to see the offerings with a Porsche lease deal with lots of their models boasting performance.

Hot Car lease deals

Performance cars are always the most desired hot car lease deals, it can cost a pretty packet to own a hot hatch, but by leasing the car; you'll find that this is a more affordable way to drive one.  The high resale value of a prestige and performance car combination means that the amount you have to bridge is less than you'd think.  It's not unusual for a higher trim level to cost less to lease than the entry model car.
