Once you’ve signed your contracts and taken delivery of your brand new Cupra Born a contract hire agreement is not a flexible style of funding, therefore it’s important that you get the details right from the start.  Consider what suits your circumstances better and not just the monthly rental?  How long do you usually keep a car for?  Are you planning on moving house or changing jobs that may affect your annual mileage?  Are you planning on extending the family soon, so would you need a bigger vehicle?  Or are your children learning to drive themselves so a smaller vehicle may be required?  In terms of the cost difference, you can calculate the value of a 2- and 3-year lease by adding up the repayments.  The vehicles warranty should still be valid dependant on your annual mileage, but the maintenance cost does usually rise for a vehicle over 36 months, as it may require a service or new tyres, so it’s important that you consider all aspects whilst deciding the length of your contract.

You can select 1 rental in advance, this initial rental will be debited from your bank account approximately 10-14 days after you’ve accepted delivery of your new car lease.

If you have taken the contract on a non-maintained basis, then you are responsible for the servicing and maintenance of the vehicle in line with manufacturers guidelines.  The vehicle will have been provided to you from brand new so will benefit from manufacturer’s warranty.  The warranty will cover anything that is not related to wear and tear or misuse/damage.  Please be aware that some funders terms and conditions of the lease agreement insist that the vehicle is serviced and maintained by a main dealer.  If you included a maintenance package with your lease, then the funder will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the vehicle.

Initial reports do suggest that insurance premiums on an electric vehicle tend to be around 10-15% higher than those offered on conventional gas vehicles.  This is mainly due to the fact that at the moment they are expensive to repair should they be involved in a collision.  It is expected that as Electric vehicles become more readily available, and mas produced that the parts will be more easily available and cost effective to purchase to meet demand.
